John 15:1-11

[0:00] I'm going to the Lord's house tonight. I'll be back before this time if you come. I'll be with you. I'll take a brother's bedroom, it's quite messy. I'll tell you in the open door the privilege to come.

[0:13] I trust y'all pray for me tonight. You'll pretty soon find out I'm just a little country map boy. I'll call on me from God to try to preach the word to God. I'll tell you what I am tonight.

[0:24] I'll be am what I am by the grace of God like Apostle Paul said. I trust you'll pray for us for just a little while tonight as we try to look into the word of God. I appreciate all the good singing.

[0:35] I think y'all got beautiful facilities here, nice little church. I think just get in here and do all you can. I do believe we're living in the last of the last days. I believe we need to be doing all we can to try to get our people in and all we can for the glory of the Lord.

[0:50] I believe we're going to see some things come up on us as the day approaches. According to the Lord and God, Brother Spencer, the Bible tells us that evil man and seducers is going to wax works and works.

[1:01] I tell you, we're looking for the coming of the Lord to call us out of this mess and take us home to heaven. I think if you will, you pray for us tonight. We've got some scriptures on our heart.

[1:13] They're familiar scriptures, but nevertheless it's what the Lord has laid upon our heart tonight. I know Brother Spencer is probably the same way and the only way I know to preach is to pray and ask the Lord to give me a message.

[1:25] I try to study and meditate up and seek His face on it tonight. I turn your Bibles tonight to St. John chapter 15. St. John chapter 15 will read a few verses of scripture and just try to get into the word of God here tonight.

[1:43] You do pray for us tonight, St. John chapter 15, and I'm going to start reading here in verse number one. We'll probably read about 11 verses with the help of the Lord.

[1:54] John, he's recorded these scriptures under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost of God. I tell you, John was a beloved disciple of the Lord. He loved the Lord and on many occasions he was close to Jesus, even lean up on his breast.

[2:08] I believe the Lord loved John, he gave him five books to write in the word of God. St. John, first, second, third John, and the book of the revelation. He revealed some things to John in the book of the revelation that I'm really not for sure that any man completely understands.

[2:25] Here St. John chapter number 15 and verse number one, this is the words in red. It's supposed to be the words of Jesus. And he said, I am the true mind and my father is the husbandman.

[2:38] And every branch in me that birth not fruit, he taketh away. And every branch that birth fruit, he purchased it that it may bring forth more fruit.

[2:49] Now you are cleaned through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me and I in you, as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abideth in divine.

[3:04] And no more can ye accept ye abideth in me. And I am divine and ye are the branches, and he that abideth in me and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit.

[3:17] For without me you can do nothing. And if a man abideth not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered. And men gather them and cast them into the fire, and they are burnt.

[3:30] If ye abideth in me and my words abideth in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. And herein is my Father glorified that ye bear much fruit.

[3:42] And so shall ye beat my disciples. And as a Father hath loved me, so hath I loved you, and continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love, even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

[4:00] These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. I've been at quite a bit of Scripture tonight, but I'll be preaching it with the help of the Lord out of verse number 11.

[4:16] And Jesus said, these things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. Maybe now Brother Spencer told some of you, and some of you don't, but Brother Spencer told you.

[4:30] My name's Gordon Smith, and my wife is Joy, and I was kidding her coming down here tonight. She always meant her talk to Brother Spencer, and most of the time I don't tell her, she'll say, well you're going to preach on tonight, and maybe the way I am, I don't know how you are Brother Spencer, but sometimes I really can't tell her, because I don't know until I get there.

[4:50] Sometimes the Lord will change your mind, but He told her coming down here tonight, I said, I'm going to preach on you. She said, well, how loose, and I probably need it, but I'm going to try to preach a little while tonight on the joy of the Lord.

[5:02] You know, I'll tell you, in the book of Nehemiah, it says, the joy of the Lord is our strength. It seems like we're living in a time when the devil is trying to work God's people to death. But you know, he writes in these scriptures here, and he says, these things I have spoken unto you, the Lord wants us to be a joyful people. I believe the Lord wants us to rejoice.

[5:23] I mean, in our salvation, and in what He has done for us, Brother Spencer, what He has going to do for us. I'm going to tell you tonight, the Lord has done great things for all of us. Here tonight, God has saved you. You've got something to rejoice and praise God in tonight.

[5:39] He's blessed us down through the years. He's supplied needs, and He's took care of us through many situations. Many times the Lord has touched your body when you was down sick.

[5:50] He's healed you, and He's raised your strength. I'll tell you, we can rejoice in the things of the Lord because the best is yet to come. For the child of Jesus, may it all be long. We're going to be getting a new body.

[6:03] I know tonight you come in with oxen. You come in, my wife come in on the cane. Others come in kind of traveling slow. But I'll tell you tonight, it ain't always going to be that way because the Lord has done some great things for us, and He's going to continue to bless us.

[6:19] Now, when we look at the setting of the Scriptures tonight, Jesus is getting ready to part and go back to heaven. He calls His disciples, Brother Spencer, into that upper room, and He gives them some final instructions, trying to get them prepared for the time that He's going back to heaven.

[6:37] From chapter 13 to chapter number 17, it is known as the upper room discord. There will be many things take place in that upper room, and He would teach them many things.

[6:49] In fact, in the last few days and the weeks that He lived, He taught His disciples many things. We see here in the Word of God, and I want to say by way of introduction tonight, there's a joy that you'll only know when you get in the true vine.

[7:04] That's talking about salvation through and by the grace of God. We really begin to experience the joy, and I'll tell you, the devil, he tries to worry us, that sometimes he will get us down, he'll trouble us down.

[7:18] I can't help but think tonight that the devil wants to trip us up and get us down, but we really can't even enjoy our salvation. But Brother Spencer, we ought to be enjoying our salvation. Somebody said, when I get to heaven, I'm going to shout all over heaven.

[7:32] Well, I believe the Lord just wants you to shout a little bit down and enjoy your salvation because we are living in the quietest world that we'll ever live in. I'll say, I believe if we go to heaven, I believe there'll be a loud voice.

[7:46] I believe there'll be praise from the Lord, but I believe if you go to the other direction, there'll be crying and screaming and weeping and welling of nation of teeth. We're just looking at the Scriptures a little while tonight here, the setting of the Scriptures.

[7:59] Jesus knew that His disciples was going to see some things and going to face some things that would affect their life and maybe trouble their spirits and maybe take their joy from them.

[8:11] You know the Scriptures very well in John chapter number 14, he said, let not your heart be troubled. Hallelujah. He said, don't let it get you down in such a way that you'll just feel like giving up.

[8:22] Hallelujah. Don't let it get you down to where you'll feel like throwing it. I'm going to tell you something tonight. You can act just as spiritual as you want to, but there's been a time in all of our life that we felt like giving up and throwing it into hell.

[8:35] We might have put this event where we had tonight. If it wasn't for the grace and the mercy of God, Hallelujah. I had to quit a long time ago. Hallelujah tonight. But aren't you glad tonight that you've got something on the inside of you that will keep you going and keep you keeping up.

[8:51] Hallelujah. I'm glad tonight, Brother Spencer, I tell them up to church. I'm glad tonight I've got something bigger on the inside of me than I am. I've got something, Hallelujah, and it's the spirit of God that constrains this place.

[9:05] I'm glad it's bigger than I am tonight. I've got something on the inside of me that's bigger than the world. Hallelujah tonight. And that's a holy ghost of God. He begins to tell his disciples, he said, now I want my joy to remain in you.

[9:21] He said, I want you to keep it in you. Sounds me like it's possible that that joy could slip away from you. But he said, I want my joy to stay in you. He said, I want it to remain in you.

[9:33] He said, I don't care what you see, what the world throws at you, what the devil throws at you. He said, I want you, amen, to let my joy remain in you. Amen.

[9:44] And he said, I want my joy, amen. He said, I want you to be for. He said, I want you to run around and have my name when you can be filled up. He said, I want you to get down and drag it on empty when you can be for.

[9:56] We used to sing a little song. Amen. Y'all don't mind if I move around a little bit, do you? Hallelujah. When we was little, we would sing that little song, brother. Hallelujah.

[10:07] My cup is full and running over. Hallelujah. You know how that little song goes? Since the Lord saved me, I'm as happy as I can be.

[10:18] My cup is full and running over. You know how tonight some of us get filled with the joy of the Lord, you cup is full to run over. And this is full to get on somebody else.

[10:29] Hallelujah. Tonight. And you know what? You watching the hallelujahs, we don't get like we used to. But I remember Brother Spencer in the house of God and one saint of God could get excited and that joy would begin to bubble over.

[10:43] And I've seen it just jump from breast to breast. Hallelujah. We'd have a service in the house of the Lord. I'll tell you always, he wants to, let me just say tonight, the Bible says Jesus Christ, the same destiny and today and forevermore.

[11:01] Somebody said that was in times past. Well, it may have been, but if the Lord is the same destiny and today and forevermore, I wonder where the problem is. Well, I know where the problem is.

[11:13] The problem is in us tonight. Somebody said we're living in the last days, hallelujah, we're living in 2021. preacher, don't you know how evil, how ungodly it is in the world?

[11:25] I know a little bit all that stuff, but I also know the joy and the power of the Lord, man, hallelujah. Let me just help us tonight. I mean, joy don't always have to do with your surroundings and your circumstances and what you're going through tonight because the Bible says in the book of Hebrews that Jesus was on the way to the cross and he counted all joy, hallelujah, to go and endure the cross.

[11:50] He meant it though that the cross was ahead of him yet with joy. You know Paul and Psyche, hallelujah, they had something on the inside of them, but they had been beat and they had been thrown in prison, hallelujah.

[12:04] But the Bible said that midnight, they would something begin to stir in their soul and they began to sing praise to God, hallelujah. You know Paul, hallelujah.

[12:15] He had the book of Philippians, he was in a Roman jail sitting there. There's one of his jail house epistles. You know what he said? He said, I say you're to rejoice. And again, I say rejoice, hallelujah, hallelujah.

[12:28] If Paul could rejoice sitting, brother Spencer, I've been in jail a few times, but not because of what I've done. I used to try to preach to him in jail, hallelujah. But I'm going to tell you something, if Apostle Paul could preach, because of being in jail, because of being beat, hallelujah, with the glory of God, why can't we out here free as our hallelujah, rejoice in the things of the Lord.

[12:52] I want to say hallelujah, don't let this swirl, don't let this swirl, don't let your surroundings, don't let your circumstances, don't let what you're going through take away the joy of the Lord.

[13:05] I'm going to try to help you just in a minute, hallelujah, because I'm telling you, I'll just go ahead and tell you, brother Spencer, before I blow up tonight, the joy I'm talking about, amen, hallelujah, is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit.

[13:19] It's something that comes on the inside of you, hallelujah, when you get hooked up in the true vibe, glory, the spirit of God begins to move upon you, hallelujah.

[13:32] Jesus said to the boys, I'm going to write some things to you, can I just tell them, brother Spencer, I don't know how long I'm supposed to go tonight, but I want to tell you something, he said, now these things, if I'm spoken, I'll tell you. Hallelujah.

[13:43] Don't look at me, so strange, the Lord speaks to me, hallelujah, I don't say tonight, I've never heard the Lord say to the Lord, but he speaks to my heart, in the shield, so it's a God, brother Spencer, hallelujah, Jesus said the words that I speak, he said they're not mine, he said there's the words of my father, hallelujah, tonight, what I hold in my hand tonight is a copy of the Word of God, hallelujah, this old 1611 King Shane Bible, amen, that's inspired of God, breathed upon by the Holy Ghost of God, this is the Word of God, what you find in here, brother Spencer, you can live by, you can die by, you'll be judged by, and you can go to heaven by it one day after a while, you can find what does say at the Word of God, hallelujah, he said these things, have I spoken into you, hallelujah, he noticed disciples, now brother Spencer, I don't know what we're going to see before we get out here, we're going to see probably some real first times in there, hallelujah, you just go ahead and hear me tonight, our government is antichrist, it's against God, it's against the church, it's against the Word of God, hallelujah tonight, our government and the government of this world, amen, they're got the spirit of antichrist, this world's got the spirit of antichrist in it today, but friends I'm going to tell you something, we've been studying in the book of Daniels up at the church, don't you worry about the kingdoms and kings of this world, because God's going to hallelujah drive them into power and blow them away like cats, one day after a while brother Spencer, hallelujah, I'm part of the kingdom of God, I'm part of the everlasting kingdom of God, hallelujah, amen, yes sir, Jesus said, you boys going to say something, if y'all want to say something, you're going to take something that you can't produce, brother Spencer is going to take something that I can't produce, I'm going to tell you something, we're about through straddling the fence, I believe in these last days, you're going to have to have the real McCoy, amen, because the hate's going to be turned over, hallelujah, and you better know that you've got something that's real, amen, hallelujah, other people's just playing, brother Spencer, but I believe the plans are about over with, we're getting around to business with God, Jesus said hallelujah, he said have just wrote a few things here, boys he's up in that upper room, he was getting ready to go back to heaven, hallelujah, you're brother

[16:23] Spencer, he said I'm going to pin a few things down here, that don't want to keep you joined for, I mean you don't want to just keep it pulled and run over, first of all he said now I'm going to go on away, he said I'm going to prepare a place for him, hallelujah, you know something that makes me happy, something that makes me want to rejoice, because I've got a home waiting for me, amen, glory to God, Jesus said I'm going to prepare a place for him, then hallelujah, right here in the book, he said if I go away, he said I will come again, the Lord's coming I'm telling you if I say something more, it makes you shout, jump up and down, it ought not be the mockery, it ought not be the race track, it ought not be the promises and the precious word of God that rejoices as a child of God, yes sir, amen, glory to God, I appreciate brother Spencer, yes sir if you get more excited about the car running around the track with bud wiser and the beer advertisements all over, then you do in the house of God and the word of God, you need to get on the right side of something, amen, amen, hallelujah, bless you, get more excited about somebody trying to kick out of an alpha ball and run up down the field, then the face of God, because all that is going to come to the knock, amen, all that is going to pass away, you're going to burn up, amen, hallelujah brother Spencer, we need to get back to the true things of God, amen, I'm going to tell you, I remember me and brother Spencer a couple of weeks ago, we came in here, we're not trying to live in the past, but brother Spencer what has happened does, I remember, I used to go down on the river, you know where Blanche and Shay live, down there in that little old shack by the side of the road, I remember my granddaddy, hallelujah, he didn't have a car, he couldn't read and write, he didn't have no big bank account, but I'm going to tell you what he had, the joy is the Lord, you can begin, he sent over and get hired, come on some men, begin to start preaching the Word of God, and I've seen him he rich in him, he lived over all of us, he pulled out of Hanstab, hallelujah, little old run down the sack by the side of the road, probably didn't have, you know what he had to do, Spencer, he's shapped, he rejoiced in the Lord, he'd get a hold of some infestible things that you could not see, you know what we need to do, we need God to help us in the high, then we can see some infestible things that you can't see with your natural eyes, right, amen, Jesus said, I'm going to write some things to you, boys, I'm going to tell you something here, he said, I'm going to write some things down, and he did, you know the scriptures, we've preached them many times, a lot of times we've preached them at a funeral when nobody can hear you, everybody said, he said, don't let your heart beat so loud, amen, one of what Jesus was to say, Spencer, does right now, if he's saying that's worrying about the things of this world, amen, I believe he'd say, let not your heart be troubled, he's told me, he said, I'm going away, but he said, I'm going to give you a peace, amen, I'm going to give you a peace, that this world don't know nothing about, amen, a deep saddle piece, let me tell you something, I've been there, you've been there too, when it seemed like this world was a criminal ground, when it seemed like your family, your job, everything was crumbling in, right, but I'm going to tell you something, there is a peace, there is a peace, that makes us all understand, amen, there is a peace of God in the midst of the storm, amen, amen, glory to God, he said, disclaim my promises, hallelujah, he said, now let me just remind us tonight, we're not here to stay forever, we're just a place in truth, right, please one thing this book teaches me, hallelujah, it's that we're pilgrims and strangers, and we're pacing through, my old physical body reminds me of that siss about every day, I go together, I've got a new edge and a new pain, go into God, a few more great hearts, a few more great things, do you know what that reminds me of, that I ain't going to be around, give it a rest, I'm leaving here, but what makes me shout tonight, is I know where I'll be going when I leave, hallelujah, yes sir, that will make you happy tonight, amen, that will make you rejoice, in the things of the Lord, thank you Lord, rejoice, what Jesus tells His disciples,

[20:41] He said one day they come back in and the Bible brothers Spencer said they've been in all manner of miracles, they've been healing the sick, I don't know what they have been doing, they've been doing all miracles of matter, and they was feeling pretty good about themselves, I guess I would have been too, hallelujah, they begin to tell Jesus, they said, boy even the devil said, Jesus said, hey boy, some will tell you I'm paraphrasing this, but He said, don't rejoice over them, but He said the greatest sign that can ever happen to a man, that your name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life, hallelujah tonight, rejoice, because your name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life, amen, a lot of people stand and testify, thank God for it tonight, but the greatest testimony that you will ever be able to give is just to say and say, I thank God that I'm saved, hallelujah, brother Spencer I hadn't been saved too long, hallelujah, I was bachelored, I hadn't been saved too long, I had one in testimony, everybody in the church was testifying, seemed like they could testify for a half an hour, hallelujah, brother Spencer there's something got to burn on the inside of me, hallelujah, next thing I know, I was up on my feet,

[21:54] I couldn't say much, but I can say I'm glad, hallelujah, I'm saved, you what I'm saying, I can't say much not, but I'll tell you what, I can go to the high side, hallelujah, I'm glad I'm saved, He said the Spirit of the Lord, amen, hallelujah, let me just help with what Jesus said, I'm gonna write you some things, He said, don't let your heart be troubled, He said, I'm going away, I'm going to prepare a place for you, He said, if I go I'll come again, and I'm going to receive it, I had it myself, hallelujah, He said I'm going to receive it, amen, hallelujah, He said I'm going to, hallelujah, John chapter, Revelation chapter number four, He said, you're going to hear a voice on these days, amen, He said, I'm going to receive it, hallelujah, praise the Lord, hallelujah, you believe Jesus could come back at any time, you believe Jesus could come back before we leave, and hallelujah, brothers and gentlemen, it will make us rejoice, amen, hallelujah, because I'm telling you tomorrow, something's gonna happen, something's gonna drag us down, just like I'm speaking, that's gonna take our joy away from us, hallelujah, now let me just help us a little bit tonight, y'all will slow down here just a minute, they say it can overtake you in your life, first I know everybody's saying it,

[23:04] I know your life tonight, but I'm gonna tell you David, the man after God's own heart, the devil tripped him up and got him down, and he set a snare for him with a woman, and he called him, and you know what, I don't believe David ever seen no peace, and he cried out to the Lord, you know what he said, he said, restore, put it back, hallelujah, he said put it back, restore it Lord, the joy of my salvation, hallelujah, if you've been saved by the grace of God, you'll find no pleasure in sin, hallelujah, it'll worry you till you get right with God, David said, I cried, let me tell you something, David was honest, and I'm gonna tell you something, a lot of people eat up with pride, sometimes when people get out in sin, they're gonna have to cry to the Lord, they're gonna get down to business with God, you want pride, eat some up, they won't do it no more, I know a lot of people need to be saved, you know what, you know what's gonna take them to hell, cry, he said more, I said things in two, he said I want you to know these things, but here he said, I'm gonna pray the Father, before I leave here, for the things he said, I'm gonna ride in two, amen, I'm gonna go over here, chapter 15, 16, he said I'm gonna pray the Father, he said that's expedient, it's necessary, he said I've got to go back, he said I've got to go away, he said if I don't go away, he said the comfort won't come, and he said now, he said I'm not gonna leave you alone, hallelujah, Bruce Fisher, he said you ain't gonna have to make his trip along those, he said I'm gonna pray the Father and he's gonna send you another comfort, and that's the Holy Ghost of God, hallelujah, he said you rejoice in the fact, you know what that is, that's the third person of the Godhead, and if you're saved, that's inside your life, ever believer, ever believer, brother Spencer, he's got to end well in spirit of God, he takes up in the boat in your life, hallelujah, and we'll get in trouble tonight, I got him tonight, I got saved as old fashioned, I didn't have to seek for him, I didn't have to help for him, bless God, he was the one, in fact let me just help us tonight, it was the Holy Ghost of God that showed me I was lost, it was the spirit of God that convicted me and drawled me and led me to that place of repentance, hallelujah tonight, the Holy Ghost of God does the work, don't you?

[25:19] he said I'm gonna pray the Father, he's gonna send you another comfort, hallelujah, and he said when he comes, he's gonna take up in the boat, and he's gonna leave in God, you indirect you in the past of truth, he said when he comes into your life, you know why people now don't have no peace, don't have no comfort, don't have no joy, don't have no love, because they don't have the Lord, now you study over the blessings, 5 and 20 tiptoes, he said the fruits of the spirit, I'm talking about when you get in that true vine says, Jesus said I'm the true vine, do you know how you get in that true vine? Amen by one spirit, we all baptized in the body, you get placed in the body of Christ by the Holy Ghost of God, I mean cross no wars tonight, I'm gonna tell you something, it's called the baptism of the Holy Ghost of God, a lot of people get messed up on this, let me tell you something tonight, water baptism, it's good to do, but you don't have anything to do with your salvation, it's a believer's baptism, but I'm gonna tell you something, the baptism of the Holy Spirit of God is something that everybody that say it has to know about, that's the only way you have to be born to the Spirit, born to the water, everybody that say it, you get into the family of God, you get into the body of Christ through the Spirit of God, by one spirit, we all baptized in one body, Hallelujah tonight, a lot of people are on the outside looking in, especially because they're different, now he said I'm gonna write these things to you, amen, he said hallelujah, that you can rejoice in these things tonight, when you study, right here in John chapter number 15, these boys that I get out here tonight, I hope you long tonight, cause we're on a thirsty night, but you know what, he said right here, he said I'm a true vine, and he said if you wanna have fruit of the Spirit, amen, he says you're gonna have to get into the vine first of all, and you're gonna have to abide in the vine, and you're gonna have to draw the nectar and the juice from the vine, and he says when you get separated from the vine, you ain't gonna do nothing but die, he said you're gonna wither and you're gonna die spiritually speaking, amen, he says now you get into the vine, and hallelujah, everybody gets into the vine, you study in John chapter number 15, amen, when you get into the true vine, when you begin to seek the face of the Lord, the first thing you do, you begin to pray, amen, brothers and sisters, I remember I got saved on a Sunday night, I remember when I went home, and havalier,

[27:51] I remember going upstairs in my bedroom, and for the first time brothers and sisters, before I started to bed that night, nobody didn't have to tell me, I didn't have the dick and board in the Sunday school, I didn't have all that, when I got ready to go to bed tonight, brothers and sisters, there's something to get down on your knees, every believer I'd never done that till I got saved, and I got down on my knees that night, brothers and sisters, and hallelujah, I began to talk to the Lord, try to pray the best I knew how to, and you begin to pray, I say when you're saved, you need to have that fellowship and communion, amen, havalier, you want brothers and sisters, and probably I'll maybe this will help somebody here tonight, but the devil ever get up in your face and say how do you know you're saved, amen, how do you know you're saved, let me tell you something, in that same bedroom, besides that same bed, I hadn't been saved for very long, the brothers and sisters are the devil, and I got down on my knees one night, I got my Bible and opened it up and I said, oh, havalier, I said I've got to get this said, I've got to worry me to death, I can't have no peace, and what God got down on my knees, and I said, Father in heaven, I said, Father in heaven, I was going to talk to my heavenly Father, you want the Holy Ghost of God done, he said son, look what you just done, he said you called God your Father,

[29:10] I got that settled that night, and the devil's throwing a few thoughts through my mind, he said, but I got to settle that night, and they something come over my heart, it's come over my heart, amen, hallelujah tonight, it'll put a prayer light in you, let me tell you something, this Christian walk of life, there's a lot of people don't know about all the time, Holy Ghost of God, it's the Christian living separation, it'll put some fruit in your life, I can show you right there what I read tonight, it's a dangerous saying for a Christian not to have fruits, but it's a spiritual according to the word of God, it's dangerous if you say you're saved not to have no fruit, when you get saved, God will begin to work in you, he's just worked in little steps in me, and I ain't got hardly no fruit, but hallelujah, he begin and see what these fruits is here, these fruits will begin to produce some things in your life, there's nine fruits of the Spirit, amen, love, joy and peace, amen, that's for you, that's for the inner man, hallelujah, you don't know what you're going to get through love, through joy and through peace, it's knowing the Lord is your personal

[30:21] Savior, and letting the Spirit of God do work in your life, amen, then hallelujah, he'll begin to help you, he'll help you take you, that's on the inner man, then he'll begin to give you some help, the next three, it's for your fellow man, how to act toward your fellow man, then he'll give you three, how you ought to act toward it, God said in Galatians chapter 5 and 20, I can't preach all out tonight, but what I'm helping you tonight, joy, he said I'm going to write these things unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that my joy, that your joy might be full, amen, now the way that happens tonight, is when you get in the true vine, and you begin to pray, and you begin to seek the will of God for your life, and there's no greater joy than living for the Lord, and trying to do God's will, for your life, Spencer I'm telling you, there's no greater joy, and I'm not much tonight, I told you before I started, by now you've done, got it figured out, brother Spencer, I'm not a very good preacher, I don't claim to be, but I'm going to tell you something, there's no greater joy than I have, than trying to tell the story of Jesus, and what He'll do for other people, I was wanting you to know tonight, that the Lord is a wonderful Savior, He wants to save you, He wants to save you, this lost and dying world doesn't know what you're missing out on, because the Lord wants to save them, put them in that true vine, and He wants to give them the love of God, you know why we have so much trouble in this world, see, all this burning, looting, shooting, raping, carrying on, what's going on, because people don't have the love of God.

[31:54] Amen, they try. You know why brother Spencer, we have to put three or four locks on our doors, and still don't go with safe, and have two or three, if people had the love of God, the spirit of God in their heart, our nation's going crazy, they can't build enough jails, enough prisons, do enough rehabilitation, what they need to do is just try to get people saved, because a man gets saved, have the love of God any time, and then you say, it'll produce peace and joy, and He said this joy, that the Lord wants to give you, He said He wants it to remain in you, and see, that comes with the daily walk with the Lord, if you'll begin to pray, talk with the Lord, study your Bible, attend church, be around Christian people, I'll tell you the joy of the Lord will come over you, and you'll begin to grow in that grace and knowledge, and the Lord will help us, morning brothers and sisters, thank God tonight.

[32:45] He said, I want my joy, not just for disciples, I believe tonight, I believe He wants me to have that joy, He's talking about here, brother Spencer, I believe He wants you to have that joy, sometimes this world will try to squeeze the sin, and we get to look around at all the circumstances, everything that's going on, and if you're not careful, it'll slip that joy away from you, it'll slip that peace away from you, and what you'll do, you'll begin to focus more upon the troubles and trials alive, than you do on the promises and the blessings of God, and I'll tell you, we need to meditate, brother Spencer, upon the word of God, the blessings of God, hallelujah tonight, Jesus said, I'm going to write this, He told this to disciples, He said, I'm going away, and He said, you're going to see some things after I'm gone away that's going to trouble you, and they sure did, they've seen Jesus, they've seen things took place in their life, in His life, that troubled them, you know what they felt like, brother Spencer, after they've seen Jesus crucified, and step old Peter said, well, let's just go back to the old lifestyle, let's just go fishing, they went out on that boat, you know the story of brother Spencer's priest about it, they went out on that boat, and they was out there towing all night, you know what, they didn't have nothing, they didn't have nothing to show for it, they didn't have nothing to show, brother Spencer, they worked all night, they worked all night, didn't have nothing to show for it, you know what people are going to have one these days, they meant nothing to show for it, years and years of their life, they're not going to have nothing to show for it, but I'm telling you Jesus, aren't you glad tonight, in His love and mercy and compassion,

[34:20] He could have said, just let them stay out there, let them wear their self out, hallelujah, but brother Spencer in love and compassion, he was on this shore waiting for one, I mean he called in to Him, hallelujah, he helped him get straight back out again, he said, thank God tonight, He wants you to have joy, brother Spencer sometimes I'm like all the rest of you, sometimes this whole world, where are you down, boy I'll tell you, flame will burn real low, I'm glad every once in a while, they mean the spirit of God will just blow up on Him, and begin to come back up, hallelujah, the Christian walk of life, it can be a victorious, it can be a joy, the Lord don't want you to go around and serve Him with your chin dragging around, please don't do that, hallelujah, if you say please don't tell the world everybody how hard the time you're having, don't let the devil do that town, oh hallelujah, you've known a bad day, look at the world, give Him a smile and say hallelujah, praise God, because He's left us some promises, He's left us some promises, brother Spencer, I believe in the Lord and the Word of God,

[35:26] He said I want you joy to be for, He said I've come at you, you might have life, He said not just life, He said I want you to have that abundant life, He said I want you to get up early, hallelujah, where you can ride on the clouds, sometimes that's hard for us, ain't it, but you know what's going to help you do that, the comforter, the spirit of God, He wants to produce that fruit in your life, amen, hallelujah, you know what the world looks at you, they can look at you and see when you're going through sickness, troubles and trials and distresses, say brother Spencer, wonder how big that God is, He's serving them, where is He at now, hallelujah, you just smile and say He's right here, amen, and it came to pass, one day brother Spencer, amen, come to pass, Jesus loves you tonight, Jesus loves you, He wants to fill you up with joy, love and peace, I'm preaching that you can still have a big toys, Christian, walk of life with more than conquers, through Jesus tonight, I've done read Spencer over, I've done read the last book, and I know who comes out up on top, have the God's children, and we'll get there and have them, we're going to shout, we might as well just go ahead and shout on the way, several years ago, I had to preach a friend of mine, brother Spencer, he didn't mean nothing by it, but he said you get all excited about serving the Lord, he said you go through a few storms, troubles and trials, and said see how you're acting, well I've been through a few troubles and trials and trials,

[37:03] I can still shout it out, not because of me, Jesus, he's the same, amen, sometimes, when you're going through them part of time, you're trials brother Spencer, sometimes it takes us down to our knees, but when you get down on your knees, and the Spirit of God begins to show you some things and speak to you, and let you know that everything's going to be alright, amen, we're more than conquers, we've done one to victory, if we're in Jesus tonight, because what He's done for us, we're going to be in His name, we're going to be in His trust tonight, I appreciate your attention tonight, I'm through preaching.
