[0:00] 1 Corinthians, I said, I believe, I preached from 1 Corinthians just maybe two or three weeks ago.! The first chapter, when we preached that the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness unto us who are saved. [0:14] It's the power of God. And so we have 1 Corinthians chapter 1 and Paul, of course, exhorting the Corinthian church and encouraging them somewhat, but also calling them out in their division because they were putting preachers on pedestals. [0:36] They were putting Cephas on a pedestal, putting Apollos on a pedestal, and Paul as well. And he calls them out on that. Then we get to chapter 2 and Paul gets himself away, distances himself from the wisdom of the world in chapter 2 of 1 Corinthians. [0:56] And he encourages them to do the same. And then in chapter 3, we see Paul and he tells the Corinthian church, he says, you know, I speak to you as carnal. [1:08] In other words, you know, you're still babes in Christ. You've been a congregation of believers for X amount of time at that point. He says, I speak to you as carnal because you're still babes. [1:20] You know, they should have been somewhat on the meet by that point, but they weren't. They were still acting like the world. And in 1 Corinthians 3, Paul is addressing that. And right before we get into the text, we're going to read verse 18 through the end of the chapter here in just a moment. [1:36] But just before that, in verses 16 and 17, Paul says, Know ye not that ye are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy. [1:49] For the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. Now, in reading those two verses, we've got to keep in mind, he wasn't talking to lost folks here. The Spirit of God doesn't dwell in the lost folks. [2:01] And he says there in verse 16, he says, Know ye not that ye are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? He wasn't talking to unregenerate people. He was talking to believers when he said that. [2:13] And when he said, If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy. Folks, that's not an interpretation of Scripture. That's what Scripture says. [2:24] Him shall God destroy. For the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. Now, folks, I don't know where that line is. I don't know what line you can cross before God just snuffs you out and says, That's enough of that crazy stuff. [2:39] But there's a line out there somewhere that God will snuff one of his own out if they're defiling the temple of God. [2:50] How do we defile the temple of God? I've been told many times how different people defile the temple of God. Anywhere from, you know, eating food that's bad for you, which now gluttony is a sin. [3:05] I can't argue that, but I'm talking about people saying, you know, you shouldn't eat fatty food. You shouldn't eat food with too much sugar. You shouldn't eat too much salt. You're defiling the temple of God. I've heard that tobacco use is defiling the temple of God. [3:18] I had a discussion with a fellow preacher one time about that. I said, Well, if that's the case, you need to quit drinking your Coca-Cola. Quit drinking tap water. Quit breathing the air. Because they've all got things in them that God never intended to enter our body. [3:31] If that is defiling the temple of God, we're all guilty of it. That's not the defilement that we're talking about here. We're talking about spiritual defilement. Somebody that is born again. [3:44] Somebody that sin has overtaken. They have let sin so deep into their mind that it has seeped into their heart. And they do that sin over and over and over. [3:56] Do those sins over and over and over. And they are dragging the name of the church through the mud. They're dragging the name of God through the mud in doing so. That's the kind of defilement that we're talking about. [4:07] It is spiritual defilement. Not physical defilement. I said any of us could stop eating any number of things. Because, I mean, you read the back of a bottle of Coca-Cola. [4:19] You can't pronounce half of the ingredients. And it's stuff that God never intended for us to have. But anyway, keep those verses in mind as we read verse 18 through the end of the chapter. [4:31] So 1 Corinthians chapter 3, beginning of verse 18. It says, Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. [4:43] For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, the Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. [4:55] Therefore, let no man glory in men. For all things are yours. Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come. [5:09] All are yours. And ye are Christ's. And Christ is God's. Verse 18 again. Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. [5:26] And before we really get started here, let me point out that contenders of the Bible, professing atheists, people who try to disprove the Bible, they will use this very verse. [5:37] Saying that there's a contradiction in Scripture. Because we know from the Psalms, that the fool hath said in his heart that there is no God. But here we have Paul saying in this verse here, that if any man among you seems to be wise in this world, let him become a fool. [5:54] That Paul's encouraging a man to become a fool. When the Bible says that the fool has said in his heart that there is no God. Folks, we're talking about two different things here. Between Psalms and here. [6:04] So this is not a contradiction in Scripture. But first, it says, let no man deceive himself. Y'all have heard me say, probably a few times since Missy and I have been attending here, and I've been preaching here, that deception is a horrible thing. [6:20] It's horrible to be deceived by the world. It's horrible to be deceived by anyone. But the worst deception that is possible is self-deception. And especially in the spiritual realm. [6:33] There are people out there now, they have sat on a church pew for years. They have heard the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ. They have heard the songs. They have sung the songs. They have read through the Bible. [6:44] They have studied. They have done all these things. But they are self-deceived into thinking that all those things that they have done is what has made them right with God. They think just because they've sat on the church pew. [6:55] Just because they shake everyone's hand. Just because they take part in the service. They take up the offering. They might pray once in a while. When the preacher asks them to, they think because of these things that they are all right with Almighty God. [7:10] But folks, that is not the case. If you have not been born again, you are not a child of God. For Jesus Christ told Nicodemus twice, you must be born again. And he reiterates, he says, marvel not that I said that you must be born again. [7:24] That which is born of the flesh is flesh. And that which is born of the spirit is spirit. Anything that we do for this world. Anything that we do for one another as brothers and sisters in Christ. [7:35] If it is outside of Christ, it is all for naught. But if we do it inside of Christ. If we do it for the sake of Christ. If we do it for the Lord Jesus Christ. And in his name. That's when it counts for eternity. [7:48] Don't let yourself be deceived. Don't be deceived. He says, let no man deceive himself. Don't think that because you do these things that you're all right with God. [7:58] It's just like Paul later on writes to the Corinthian church. When he's talking about the communion. And the taking of the. And the eating of the bread. And the drinking of the wine. [8:09] And he says, he that eateth and drinketh unworthily. Eateth and drinketh damnation unto himself. Folks, that is not an automatic X next to your name. Automatically excluding anyone from heaven. [8:21] That's not what he's getting at. What he's getting at is that if anyone takes of the communion. They take of the bread. They take of the wine. And they drink these things. Thinking that that's what they need to do for salvation. [8:33] That's why they eat and drink damnation unto themselves. There have been plenty of people, I'm sure. Throughout the course of time. Throughout decades. Throughout centuries. That have taken the communion unworthily. [8:45] But have later been regenerated. Because of the grace and the power of Almighty God. It is not an automatic exclusion from salvation to do that. That is not what that's getting at. [8:56] But folks, they were deceived. Obviously, there were some folks being deceived. Into thinking that. There were probably some folks. Because of the Judaizers. And because of the heresy. [9:07] And because of the false teachers. That had infiltrated the church. There were people that were being told. You just do this. You eat this little wafer. You take this cup of wine. And you and God will be alright. [9:19] Folks, that's not the case. That's not the case. A lost person can pray until they're blue in the face. But until they pray that God save their soul. Until they repent of their sins. Believe in the gospel. [9:29] It will not be heard. It will not be heard by Almighty God. Until they do that. Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you. Among. If any man among you. Seemeth to be wise in this world. [9:41] That's the difference between this and the verse in Psalms. We were talking about. If any man among you. Seemeth to be wise. In this world. Let him become a fool. That he may be wise. [9:52] Folks, we cannot depend upon the wisdom of the world. We cannot depend upon the education of the world. Don't believe me. Go look and see what they're teaching in the public schools right now. Go look and see. [10:03] At the evolution that's being taught. That's being taught. That you can be this. And that you can be that. It's alright if you want to identify as a cat. It's alright if you want to dress like a girl, Bobby. [10:15] It's alright if you want to dress like a boy, Susie. Folks, those things are not alright. They are not alright per the scripture. And shame on the church for remaining quiet in this matter. Amen. [10:27] That's the wisdom of the world. And the wisdom of the world is wrong. The wisdom of the world is evil. Now, that being said, there's some wisdom out there that the world has and has had. And it has gone on into the century that we're in right now. [10:41] The 21st century. That's very good. And it's very useful. And it's helpful. Things like physics. Things like calculus. Things like math in general. [10:51] Certain things to do with science. All those things are good and fine and well. In the right respect. But, when they start teaching evolution as an absolute fact in science class. [11:03] When they start teaching things along those lines that are contrary to the word of God. Because my Bible says that God created man in his own image. I did not come from an ape. [11:13] I didn't come from a puddle of slime somewhere. I didn't evolve from a tadpole. I was made in the image of Almighty God. God picked up the dust in the Garden of Eden. He fashioned the man Adam. [11:24] He breathed life into his nostrils. He reached inside Adam after putting him to sleep. Pulled out one of his ribs. And he fashioned woman. And that's where we came from. Not some monkey somewhere. [11:37] You be careful with the wisdom of the world. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world. Let him become a fool. That he may become wise. Let him become a fool. In what respect? [11:48] To the wisdom of the world. Folks, when we believe this Bible. And when we profess to the world. That we believe this Bible. And we proclaim the truth of this Bible. To the world. [11:59] They will look at us as fools. I know this for a fact. Because I used to look at people as fools. When they would try and tell me. That Jesus Christ died for me. [12:09] I used to look at people as fools. When they tried to say. That there was some God up in the sky. That sent his only son. To die on behalf of evil people. I used to think people were fools. [12:20] Fools that God has since shown me. The truth of his word. We must become fools. As far as the world's wisdom goes. That we may be wise in the things of God. [12:34] Verse 19. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written. He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. Says for the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. [12:45] Folks. This tells me one thing. The most educated. The brightest. And most intelligent person. On the face of the planet. If he or she rejects God. [12:57] They are a fool. To do so. Once again. We can go back to Psalms. The fool has said in his heart. That there is no God. Folks. To reject the gospel. Is to reject God. [13:08] You don't even have to say. Or no one has to say. I don't believe in God. When the gospel of Jesus Christ. Is rejected by anyone. They may profess. To be a believer in God. [13:20] They may profess. That they believe. That Jesus Christ. Was born of a virgin. In a town called Bethlehem. And was laid in a manger. They may. Profess all kinds of things. But. [13:31] When they reject the gospel. Yeah. When they reject the gospel. They have rejected God. And in rejecting the gospel. And rejecting God. They have rejected the only way. Of salvation. That has ever been offered unto man. [13:42] And that will. Ever be offered to man. They are fools. In the eyes of almighty God. Those who are wise. In the wisdom of the world. For the wisdom of this world. Is foolishness with God. [13:53] For it is written. He goes on here. Paul goes on to quote scripture. For it is written. He taketh the wise. In their own craftiness. He gets this from Job. In chapter 5. He says. [14:03] He says. That the wise. He taketh the wise. In their own craftiness. In other words. These webs. That the people. That have the wisdom of the world. [14:13] These webs. That they have spun. The web of evolution. The web of transgenderism. The web of homosexuality. The web of this. And the web of that. All these webs. God. [14:24] Will make sure. That they are. That these webs. That they have spun themselves. Will be their own demise. He will turn them. Back around on them. He will turn their own wisdom. Back around on them. [14:35] Because they accepted. Their own wisdom. They accepted. The wisdom of the world. They accepted. Every type of wisdom. That there was. Except for the wisdom. Of almighty God. Amen. [14:45] To make a way. Through Jesus Christ. That they could be saved. They rejected that wisdom. Which is the ultimate wisdom. God is the ultimate wisdom. God has. The ultimate wisdom. [14:56] Says. He taketh the wise. In their own craftiness. They are digging their own graves. As we would put it nowadays. They are putting nails. In their own coffin. Is how we would phrase it nowadays. [15:08] Verse 20. And again. The Lord knoweth the thoughts. Of the wise. That they are vain. So he quotes more scripture here. This comes from Psalms chapter 94. Says. [15:19] And again. The Lord knoweth the thoughts. Of the wise. That they are vain. So he quotes this. This verse from. The book of Job. Then he quotes this verse. From Psalms. And says. That the Lord knoweth the thoughts. [15:30] Of the wise. That they are vain. Now again. We are talking about. The people who are wise. In the world. And wise in the wisdom. Of the world. In this verse. He says. The Lord knoweth the thoughts. [15:40] Of the wise. That they are vain. What does this mean? Folks. This means simply. That the wisdom of the world. Is empty. These people. Who thought. That they were so wise. These people. That thought. That they were so educated. [15:51] And folks. The Corinthian church. Was a wonderful. Church. For Paul. To be. Preaching such a thing to. They were right there. In the middle. Of the Greek culture. They were. They were so. So bent. [16:02] On philosophers. And put so much faith. And so much confidence. In philosophers. And the philosophy. At the time. And here is Paul. Telling them. The Lord knoweth the thoughts. Of the wise. That they are vain. [16:13] In other words. He's saying. That the thoughts. Of these wise. The wisdom of the world. It is empty. It is nothing. It is fleeting. It is here. For a little while. And then gone. The next minute. [16:24] It is not worth holding on to. It's not worth keeping. It's not worth listening to. The only wisdom. That is worth having. And worth hanging on to. Is the wisdom. Of almighty God. [16:34] And the blood of Jesus Christ. And the cross that he suffered on. This is the wisdom of God. And this. Is the wisdom that we must. Hang on to. Hallelujah. Amen. The wisdom of the world. [16:45] Folks. It's foolish. It's foolish in the eyes of God. The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise. He knows. Not only yours. And my thoughts. My thoughts. Being saved born again. Children of God. But he knows the thoughts of those out there in the world too. [16:56] And he says that their thoughts. And their wisdom. Everything that they think about themselves. Or think about other people. Is vain. What does Solomon have to say about that in Ecclesiastes? [17:08] Vanity of vanities. All is vanity. All is vanity. He says there's nothing new under the sun. All is vanity. Outside. [17:19] Of almighty God. Because there at the end of that book. In chapter 12 of Ecclesiastes. We learn. Now you can go through Ecclesiastes. I may have said this here before. [17:29] And I may not have. But I've said it over and over. In different churches. You can go through Ecclesiastes. And just reading it. Just blowing through it. You can justify a whole lot of sin. If you want to try to. [17:41] You never use the word of God. To truly justify sin. But if you're just. Reading it. Taking it out of context. You can do so. But when you get to chapter 12. All that goes out through the window. [17:53] Let us hear the conclusion. Of the whole matter. What is the purpose of man? What is the duty of man? But to fear God. And to obey his commandments. [18:04] That was the conclusion. Of the entire book of Ecclesiastes. That's the conclusion. Of the entire duty of man. Is to fear God. And to obey his commandments. Not to depend upon the wisdom of the world. [18:18] Not to be wise in the world. But to be wise in the things of God. And folks. If we are not wise. If we are saved individuals. And we are not wise in the things of God. [18:30] It's our own faults. Because God has given us a book here. And he expects us to have our nose. In this book. He expects us to be wise. In the things that are of him. [18:42] And if we are not wise in those things. When heresy does come our way. We are going to be in trouble. Because we won't know what to believe. But. When we are wise in the things of God. And we read the scripture. [18:53] And we do our dead level best. To obey the scripture. And to obey almighty God. When we do these things. And we have knowledge of God. Knowledge of his word. And heresy comes our way. [19:04] Folks. It will throw a red flag up immediately. There is something not right about that. There is something not right. About. What that person just said. What that preacher just conveyed to me. [19:15] Or what that teacher just conveyed to me. Be wise in the things of God. He says. Verse 21. Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things. [19:26] Are yours. Therefore let no man. Glory in men. Again. The church at Corinth. They were very guilty of doing this thing. Again. They were putting. [19:38] Apollos. And Cephas. Up on pedestals. I believe when I preached from chapter 1. Two or three weeks ago. That. I brought up how Paul said. I'm grateful that I didn't baptize any of you. [19:50] Save a couple of them that he named there. Because. Because he didn't want to be put up on a pedestal. He didn't want. He didn't want to worship a man. He wanted them to worship. The true God. He wanted them to worship. [20:01] The God of the gospel. That he was proclaiming. It says. Therefore let no man. Glory in men. Folks. Don't put your confidence in any pastor or preacher. Don't put your confidence in any Bible teacher. [20:13] Don't put your confidence in any gospel singer. You put your confidence solely. And wholeheartedly. In Jesus Christ. And he alone. He is the only one. [20:23] That is able to save you. I can't save you. Brother Mike here can't save you. No preacher walking this planet right now. Is able to do so. But. There was a preacher that came one time. [20:35] There was a preacher that came about 2,000 years ago. Greatest preacher that this world has ever heard or known. His name was Jesus Christ. He can save. He actually came here to seek and to save. [20:46] That which was lost. Therefore let no man. Glory. In men. Don't put your confidence in men. I read some scripture last night. Psalms 118. Not to put your confidence in man. [20:58] Or to put your confidence in princes. Don't put your confidence in either one of those. Even the higher ups. Folks. You know. I'm. I'm. Very patriotic person. But when it comes to spiritual things. [21:10] And when it comes to my salvation. Donald Trump can't help me. Right. Amen. When it comes to spiritual things. And my salvation. No president in the history of the United States of America. [21:21] Not even Ronald Reagan. As much as I love that man. He could not save me. Right. Christ saves. Amen. And Christ alone. Amen. This is where our confidence must be. [21:31] But he tells us of what here. As y'all have heard me say many times. Then he gives us a why. Therefore let no man glory in men. For. Or because. All things. [21:43] Are yours. All things are whose. Again. What we talked about here. At the very beginning of this. He was writing to believers. He was writing to a church body. [21:54] The church at Corinth. Paul was writing to these people. He says. Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things. Are yours. All things. Are yours. And folks. If he was writing this. [22:05] To the church at Corinth. Two thousand years later. It's directed at me. Being a child of God as well. And it's directed at you. Being a child of God. If indeed you are. He says. [22:16] For all things are yours. Whether Paul. Or Apollos. Or Cephas. Or the world. Or life. Or death. Or things present. Or things to come. All. Or yours. How is this even possible? [22:27] When the Bible tells us. That all belongs to Christ. How do we reconcile this? I'll tell you. One verse. Romans 8. Chapter 8. Verse 17. Teaches us. [22:39] That we are heirs to God. And joint heirs with Jesus Christ. And if we are joint heirs with Jesus Christ. And Christ has it all. Folks. We stand to inherit it all. [22:49] With Him. And if I am His child now. If I am a child of God. And Christ is my Savior. And I have been born again. That inheritance is just as much mine. Right now. [23:00] As I stand before you. As it will be a million years into the future. If it belongs to Christ. It belongs to me. Because I am a joint heir with Him. I stand to inherit it all. [23:11] He says. Whether Paul. Or Apollos. Or Cephas. He's saying. These men. These teachers. That you have put up upon a pedestal. These preachers. That you have heard. That you have heard. [23:22] Proclaim the gospel. To you. God has given them. As a gift to you. Listen to them. Heed them. Learn from them. That's what he's saying here. [23:33] He says. They're yours. He says. You don't belong to them. And that's what the Corinthians were guilty of. They were aligning themselves. Some with Apollos. And some with Cephas. [23:44] And some with Paul. And they were saying. I belong to this one. And folks. That was the Jewish way. Of doing things. That was the Jewish way. They would say. I belong to this rabbi. [23:55] Or I follow that rabbi. Now keep in mind. He is talking to the church. At Corinth here. Which was an intermingling. Of Jewish. And Gentiles. But he says. [24:06] None of these men. You don't belong to any of these men. Rather. It's the opposite. These teachers. That God has gifted you. They belong to you. And if God has gifted us. [24:17] With good Bible teachers. If God has gifted us. With good preachers. We should listen to them. And take heed to what they are saying. And learn from them. They are ours. [24:29] According to what I read here in the scriptures. Whether Apollo. Or whether Paul. Or Apollos. Or Cephas. Or the world. How is the world ours? Again. Because the world belongs to Christ. [24:39] We learn from the songs. That almighty God owns the hills. And the cattle thereon. He owns it all. And therefore. If he owns it all. I own it all. Right along with him. [24:50] But folks. Not only. Not only. The world right now. But folks. When you look on into the future. And when you take into consideration. That one of these days. The very elements. [25:00] Of this world. Are going to burn up. In a fervent heat. God is going to destroy this earth. There is going to be a new. A new heaven. And a new earth made. Wherein dwelleth righteousness. Hey folks. [25:11] I stand to inherit that. Just as much. Then. In the future. As what I have. Now. Hallelujah. It's mine. Because I belong to Christ. [25:21] And Christ belongs to God. As we read. Just a little while ago. In the very last verse of this passage. We'll get there in just a moment. Whether Paul. Or Apollos. Or Cephas. Or the world. Or life. [25:32] Not only the life that I have right now. Folks. My life. Right now. Belongs to Christ. He purchased me. He bought me with his blood. What life are we talking about? [25:43] He who is life. Does what with that life? Imparts that life. Unto all those who repent of their ways. And I believe the gospel of Jesus Christ. He said in John 14. [25:53] I am the way. The truth. And the life. And if he is the life. He has given me life. What is that life? It is eternal life. It is everlasting life. It is life. That will not come to an end. [26:04] And that life. Has been given me. If it has been given me. It is mine. Amen. But it is only by Christ. That I receive that life. And it is only through Christ. And his death. [26:15] That I am able. To receive that life. And the next one. Is the greatest one. Yeah. The next one. Is the greatest. Whether Paul. Or Apollos. Or Cephas. Or the world. Or life. Or death. [26:26] Or death. And remember the end of that verse. All are yours. How is death. Mine. How can we make a positive. Out of that. [26:37] Folks. Death. Before salvation. Before salvation. Death was my enemy. Yeah. But now. Now that I have been saved. [26:48] Yeah. Now that I have been washed clean. In the blood. Of the lamb. I have been made a child. Of almighty God. Death is no more than an usher. That brings me into glory. [26:59] At the end of my road here. Hallelujah. Death is mine. He is a servant of mine now. He is not my enemy. He is mine. And he will take me on into glory one day. [27:12] Death is nothing more than a portal. To almighty God. To the physical presence. Of almighty God. For anyone. That is believed and trusted. In the name of Jesus Christ. [27:22] Amen. Whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas. Or the world. Or life. Or death. Or the things present. Or things to come. Everything now. According to what I read here. [27:33] Is mine. Because everything now. Is Christ. Or things to come. Go back to what I said about the world. We have a world right now. That belongs to almighty God. And we'll have a world in the future. [27:44] That will still belong to almighty God. But what I read here in the scripture. Is not only will it belong to God. Not only will it be Christ's kingdom. That he has promised to come. But folks. It will be mine. [27:55] And that world. Will be. Will be. Will be made. The new. The new world. That we will have. After this world. Is destroyed by almighty God. And the new world. That we will have. [28:06] It will be for me. To enjoy with. And in. Jesus Christ. He will rule that world. Right. And I will rule with him. And from what I read. In the scriptures. You will rule with him too. [28:17] We will all rule together. He will be the ultimate ruler. I will never be above. Jesus Christ. Right. I'm just telling you. What I can read. In the book of Revelation. What I understand. Out of the book of Revelation. [28:28] We all stand to inherit. We all stand to reign. And rule. With. Jesus Christ. If. We are believers. In Jesus Christ. [28:38] So let's read that verse again. Whether Paul. Or Apollos. Or Cephas. Or the world. Or life. Or death. Or things present. Or things to come. All. Are yours. Again. He's writing. To believers. [28:48] Not the lost world. Not the unregenerate. Not those. That are out there. Blatantly. Living in sin. He is writing. To those. That have professed. [28:58] Jesus Christ. And those. That have believed. In the name of Jesus Christ. And verse 23. And we'll be done. And ye are Christ. And Christ. Is God. And folks. This is the sole reason. [29:10] That we can read. Verse 22. With any kind of glee. And with any kind of happiness. And with any kind of hope. Is because. Ye are Christ. And Christ. [29:20] Is God. God owns it all. And. And. And. I understand the scripture. I understand. That Christ is God. I understand. John chapter 1. In the beginning. [29:30] Was the word. And the word was with God. And the word was God. I get all of that. But. But Jesus Christ. Is co-equal with God. But he is also. Eternally. The only begotten son. [29:41] Of almighty God. And I stand to rule with Christ. I stand to. To. To have it all with Christ. I stand to inherit it. All with Christ. All because. I belong to Christ. [29:53] And Christ. Belongs to God. Not of my own works. Praise God. For Ephesians 2. That humbling. Passage of scripture. That humbling. Passage of scripture. [30:03] It says. It's not of works. Lest any man should boast. We are saved by grace. Through faith. And that is the only way. That we are saved. If you are here. Tonight. And you are not saved by grace. [30:16] You don't stand to inherit it all. You'll have an inheritance. And you'll have it for all of eternity. Right. If you refuse Jesus Christ. And refuse his gospel. But it's not the inheritance. [30:27] That I read about tonight. You'll have an inheritance. Of eternal torment. Eternal flames. Eternal pain. Eternal agony. And an eternity. Away. From almighty God. [30:38] Amen. That's what you stand to inherit. But unto us. Unto us who believe. Unto us who are Christ. We stand to inherit it all. We've already. [30:48] Inherited it all. That inheritance is guaranteed. Folks. It's as good as done. It is as good as done. But what is to come in the future. We also stand to inherit that. [31:00] As per the words. Of this sacred writ of scripture. God bless you all. I appreciate your attention. That's the message for this evening. Amen. Amen. Amen.
